Do Your Re-Con
When you are trying to come up with a gift for her, whether "her" is your wife, mom, daughter, sister or friend, don't panic. Think about what she really enjoys when no one is watching - not the typical stuff - do some re-con.
* Watch what she reads and figure out her favorite authors.
* See what she eats when she is stressed out (a popular time for favorite or comfort foods)
* Listen to the music she put on when she doesn't think you are around
* Listen to what she dreams of doing to relax
Maybe the answer is something like a tempur-pedic pillow, to help her make a night's sleep into a truly relaxing event, or maybe the answer is a gift certificate to her favorite shoe store.
Even if you need something inexpensive, a soft cover book is usually less than $10.00. Think decadent and try your hardest to come up with a unique gift that she would otherwise never get for herself.
